Hillary Clinton for President—Are You Kidding Me?

Hillary Clinton lied to the American people on September 17, 2001 when she played on our
sympathies by eluding that her daughter was in danger on 9/11 as the planes struck the Towers,
close enough to hear the impact.  However, Chelsea was really three miles away at the time the
planes struck the Towers and, after hearing about it from a third party, watched the destruction
on the local news.
Senator Clinton also has reportedly lied about her involvement in aiding the New Yorkers in the
aftermath when the real credit belongs to the Senior Senator of New York, Chuck Schumer.  All
Hillary did was be there.
Sort of mimics the rest of her political career, though, as her biggest claim of experience is being
the wife of ex-Governor and ex-President Bill Clinton.
But what kind of experience is that really?  How does that make her qualified to aid in the
running of our nation?  Is the wife of an accountant qualified to be one as well simply because
she’s his wife, whether she can add or not?  Or the wife of a lawyer qualified to practice law even
if she can’t pass the bar simply because she married one?
Somehow that doesn’t sound right to me and I certainly wouldn’t hire them—either one.  I want
someone in the job who’s qualified.  I wouldn’t want my finances or my legal affairs in the hands
of someone who just thought they knew what they were doing.  So why is Hillary Clinton holding
office in the United States?
Granted, politics is different from most occupations as to the types of experiences which can aid
a politician in their career.  I firmly believe that their experience can come from any source, but
traits a politician needs to have are perquisite in my opinion.  There is no time to train on the job
when the position you are holding is the President of the United States.  First you must have the
ability to lead others, then you must have the ability to work with others in a bi-partisan manner
without personal backbiting and vicious comments, and last but not least by far, you must be
able to soak up everything you learn to make an informed decision and then stand by the
decision you made.
We know she lied all through her husband’s administration (Whitewater is but one topic) and we
know now that she lied all through her campaign for Senator.  So, why does anyone listen to her?
She can’t make up her mind about things.  She was for Iraq and then she’s against it, back and
forth, though at least she hasn’t gone so far as to say she wouldn’t vote the same in the same
circumstance again.  She was against illegal immigrants being here and now she’s against the
bill that makes it a crime.
Now we’ve been educated to the fact she made up a story in an attempt to reach into the hearts
of Americans through the most devastating tragedy on our shores and lied about the things she
did for those who truly suffered on that horrible day.  What more does this woman need to do
before the American people stand up and say “That’s enough!  We won’t take it anymore!”?  I
think the time is long past.  I hope everyone else will tell her the time has come in 2008.
